Three questions your spreadsheet makes you work for.
You can get all three out of a spreadsheet. That is the problem — you have to build the formula first, and rebuild it every time the export changes.
“What am I about to run out of?”
Ranked by how soon, not alphabetically by SKU.
“What is sitting still and tying up cash?”
The other half of the problem, and the one nobody has time to look for.
“Which products are actually moving, and which just look like it?”
Sell-through you can see, instead of a gut feel about a top seller.
It answers from the file you gave it. If a number is not in your export, it is not in the answer.
One sitting, three steps.
Drop in your file
CSV or Excel, laid out however your system exports it. There is no template to fill in and nothing to install.
It works out your columns
No mapping step, no required header names. It reads what you actually gave it and organizes it into something you can plan against.
Ask it anything
Plain questions about your own numbers. Come back tomorrow and it is all still there — the structure it built and everything you asked.
What you don’t have to do first.
Most inventory software asks you to earn the answer before you get it. Connect the systems, clean the data, sit through the walkthrough, then find out whether it was worth it.
This asks for a file.
Upload your spreadsheet exactly as it is. You don’t change anything.
- No template to fill in
- No renaming your columns
- No integration to connect
- No IT ticket
- No credit card
- No call to book first
- No rebuilding it from scratch next month
About the file you’re uploading.
It has your unit costs, your suppliers and your margins in it. That is a real reason to hesitate, so here is the answer to it before you ask.
- It is never used to train anything.
- Your data is used to answer your questions, and for nothing else. It does not become training data, and it is not pooled with anyone else’s.
- You can delete it whenever you want.
- The upload is yours. Remove it and it is gone — you do not have to email anyone or wait on a support queue to make that happen.
What it can’t do.
Worth knowing before you spend twenty minutes finding out.
It only sees what you upload.
There is no connection to your store, your warehouse or your suppliers. If it is not in the file, it does not know about it.
It cannot order anything.
It does not place purchase orders, message suppliers, or touch a system you use to run the business. It reads a file and answers questions about it.
It does not show you the rows behind a number.
Ask it what is about to run out and you get the answer, not a trail back to the exact lines it came from. Check anything you are about to spend money on against your own file.
It is only as good as the export.
Stale quantities and missing lead times produce confident, wrong answers. That is true of the spreadsheet you have now too, but it is worth saying plainly.
Built by the team that does this for a living.
Planster is demand-planning software for $10M–$50M consumable CPG brands — food, beverage, supplements, beauty, household. The paid platform connects to the systems you already run on, builds one forecast across every channel, and drafts the purchase orders that need writing. This free tool is a much smaller piece of that: the part that reads your numbers and answers questions about them.
“Our massive growth would not have been possible without Planster. It’s critical to the fabric of our business and has us dialed on demand planning and inventory.”

Happy Tooth Products went from $1M to nearly $10M in under two years, and entered Walmart without raising outside capital to float inventory.
Why it’s free
Because the tools that do this well are priced for brands that already have a planning team.
That decides who gets to plan well, and it isn’t the growing brand running operations with three people and a spreadsheet. We think that is backwards. The brands that most need to get this right are the ones who can least afford the software that does it.
So chat is free, and it stays free. We would rather more brands got good at this.
If you outgrow it, Pro is $30 a month. If you outgrow that, come talk to us.

See what that includesCommon questions
What kind of file can I upload?
A CSV or an Excel file containing inventory data or a plan you are already working from — an export out of your warehouse system, your store admin, or the spreadsheet you maintain by hand. It reads the file as you exported it, so there is no template to fill in first.
Do my columns have to be named a particular way?
No. There is no mapping step and no required header names. The tool works out what your columns are and organizes the data into something it can answer questions against. If something is genuinely ambiguous it will ask you rather than guess silently.
Is my data used to train AI models?
No. What you upload is used to answer your questions and for nothing else. It does not become training data and it is not pooled with other customers. You can delete the upload yourself whenever you want, without emailing anyone or waiting on a support queue.
What does the free version actually cost?
Nothing, and it does not require a credit card or a trial that expires. There is a Pro tier at $30 a month for people who end up using it heavily, but you do not have to decide anything about that today, and Pro is refunded in full within thirty days if it is not worth it.
How is this different from the Planster platform?
They are separate products. This free tool reads a file you upload and answers questions about it. The platform at $1,000 a month connects to the systems you already run on, builds one demand forecast across DTC, Amazon, retail and wholesale, and drafts the purchase orders that need writing each night.
Do I have to book a demo to use it?
No. You sign up, upload a file, and start asking questions. There is no call to sit through before you get access and no walkthrough you have to schedule, which is the entire reason the free tool exists in the shape it does.
Do you have anything for managing purchase orders?
Yes, and it is also free. The order tool lets you write purchase orders and work orders against your own suppliers, products and warehouses, and track the status of each one, so they stop living in a text thread. It is a separate tool from this one and you can use either without the other.
Go get the export you already have.
It takes one file and about a minute to find out whether this is useful to you.
No credit card. No integration.
